Leonard Gideon Magawa, B.D., LL.B., LL.M, Barrister and Solicitor
Leonard graduated with a Master of Laws Degree from the University of Alberta in 2006. Before joining LL.M program at University of Alberta he graduated with Bachelor of Theology Degree from Tumaini University in 1998 and Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Dar Es Salaam in 2001. Currently Leonard is working on his doctorate at the University of Pretoria in South Africa.
Leonard was called to Alberta bar and Saskatchewan bar in 2011. He is an active member of the Law Society of Alberta, and an inactive member of the Saskatchewan bar. Leonard practices in the areas of family, civil litigation, divorces, protection proceedings, PCHAD, immigration, wills and estates, real estate transactions, personal injury, and child welfare proceedings. Leonard represents clients in Alberta Court of Justice, Court of King’s Bench of Alberta, and Court of Appeal of Alberta. Leonard is a published author who published articles in peer-reviewed law journals and book chapters. In spare time, Leonard enjoys reading books, watching television news, cycling, walking in parks, watching the series of the gods must be crazy, going to the gym and plays amateur soccer and volunteers in different local organizations and communities.
